Asp Development |
ASP is a server-side scripting environment. It was introduced by Microsoft in 1996
and is comprised of built-in objects, server-side scripts, ADO capability (access
to databases), and ActiveX components which allow web developers to build dynamic
web sites such as search engines, e-Commerce sites, auction houses, sharehouses,
web portals, and more.
In an ASP , it is dynamic (i.e. what the webmaster actually typed into the page
is a set of instructions for the server to go and fetch, gather or calculate some
kind of data; then compile it in a nice orderly way and 'write' all the information
into html and send the page back to the user's browser).
Features : -
. No need to specify, purchase and install hardware and software at TPA's location
. No need to pay for computer support staff to maintain and manage system
. Equipment located in very secure facility
. Simple, clear interface reduces training requirements and increases productivity
. ASP is a program that runs inside IIS (Internet Information Services )
. Can minimize the network traffic
